The Covenant Chronicles

 Reflections on...the Prologue
Back to Full Blog

This is probably the fifth time I have rewritten the prologue. It has changed a lot since the beginning. This story was originally written about the time I was twelve years old. Some of the things I wanted to say then, I couldn't. The original prologue was a watered down, brief, description of the creation of Lartheia. Needless to say, that creation story has changed also. I figured out where the story was headed and made some major adjustments. So the prologue changed as well. It became a bit...hmmmm...comical, I might say. That changed as well. The updated version was the same story as the above(comical) version, save it was not comical. Just recently I tried writing the creation story from the Mara(their holy book). I got far, but decided that the prologue needed to take a different turn. So the prologue below was born!!!!! Enjoy, enjoy. It still needs to be worked on, but I hope this is the one that will make it...!!!!!!
